Re: Cat back 'flowmaster' exhaust system (JTHVETTE)
I have the LT headers, Random Flow cats and Flowmaster exhaust on my LT1. I definetly would say it is not loud. Even my wife thought it would be lounder and resonated more. Thinking of pulling out center resonator and putting x pipe. Need more sound for what this whole exhaust system costs. Just read your sig. If I were you I would either have a muffler shop remove your center resonator and put in an x pipe or have the shop remove your rear mufflers and put a straight pipe in its place with the muffler tips on the end or whatever tips you like. Unless you want to spend the money on a new one.
If you want loud, get the Flowmaster 40's. I have had them for about 6 months and I am thinking about getting something a little quieter. Listening to all the cracked plastic vibrate is starting to get old

BAM92, I'm glad to read your post. I am getting ready to put LT's and high flow cats on my car. It already has a Flowmaster cat-back, and I was a little worried it would be too loud. I don't want it a whole lot louder than it is now.
