Default Re-Doing Sawblades.....Clear Coat Question?

Anyone ever use Clear Powder Coat for re-finishing their Rims. Or what do you think is the absolute Best.

:iagree:

Mine are polished, no clear coat. I just give them a quick polish once every few months or so.

I would say go for it. I have a older set of AFS rims that are polished then powder coated and they look good.

For you folks with uncoated wheels, better keep on top of that polishing or you will have pitted wheels. Every time you run through any water, you will have to polish. Reason I know this is because of all the bare polished aluminum I had to deal with on a Harley Sportster I used to own. Man that thing was a bear to keep shiny. I suggest some form of clear coat like the factory did. My 86 wheels still look Ok because of that coating. I dare say after 17 years, if they had been bare, they would look awful and full of of pits. I think clear powder coat would work well. If you had a big enough oven, you could do it yourself.
