Changing rear diff fluid, what weight and how much do i need?
I already have a tube of limited slip additive. Also, do i need any special tools for this job, or is there a drain plug as well as a fill plug on my diff? (dana36 in '89 auto)
Thanks

You need a small hand vacuum to suck the old out. Drive the car around some to get teh fluid up to temperature before trying to get it out. This will help thin it out and make it easier.

MY D44 requires 1.5 qt of GL-5 gear lube and 4 oz. of limited-slip additive.
Per the factory service manual.
Pulling that stuff out with a hand pump is hard work....
