Rear Speaker Mounting
I'm having trouble mounting my rear Audiobahn 6x9 speakers. As you well know Audiobahn's are known for their huge magnets. I took out my existing rear speakers but im using the old mounting brackets because they fit the 6x9's. I have one problem. After I mount the speakers to the brackets and i put them under the carpet into the hole, the speakers don't fit all the way because of the angle inside of the hole. There's about a one inch gap on the top to screws that mount it to the carpet and base. As the red arrows show. Is there anyway I can cut this to make it fit?

Had a similar problem, so, built a extended piece, carpet, then mounted speaker and cover..

Can't believe the magnets are any bigger than my Infinity Kappa's and mine fit. I have mine mounted a modified Bose plastic base with the bass port. Even have the stock Bose speaker covers over them. I was "worried" when I went to do it though. The magnets on the Kappa's are 3-4 times the size of the little Pioneer's they replaced. :eek:
Edit: Just noticed you have the earlier style C4, there "may" be a difference there as well. :confused:
