knock senser detection

how so I tell if I'm getting knock retard if I have a noisy engine and can't hear detonation on an 85 corvette? :crazy:

one way is the car will lose power do to timing retard or you can buy the ezlink and plug it in the computor when you drive and that will show you about $199.00 for the ez link

The LED (triangular symbol) will light up whenever the ESC module 'tells' the computer there is engine knock. The "1K" indicates a resistor with a 1000 ohm resistance...probably 1/4 watt type. Actual resistor value will depend on the LED rating.

cool I thought the triangular symbol was a diode...couldn't figure out how it was going to work :crazy: thanks GRX I think I can build that . :cheers:
