Probably a dumb question for anyone with a shop manual, but when changing the thermostat, what should the bolts be torqued at when re-installing? Also.....how important is it to torque the wheels to 100 ft. lbs. Could that create a problem if not to that exact spec?
Thanks
Don
The wheel torque doesn't have to be exact. 90-110 would be fine. You do probably want to try and get them all about the same on one wheel.
:iagree: I've read that improper torquing of lug nuts can lead to premature brake rotor warpage.
no... the surface of the wheel is too flush with the rotor to cause that (with minor deflections) you would have to run only 2 lugs for that to happen...
