Default Help with theft deterant system

Hi All,

I am in the process of turning my 92 LT1 C4 into a full out race car and I have come accross a major snag. I have to remove the entire steering column to replace it with a racing one and I have no idea how to bypass the whole theft deterant system.

Just a little background here:

The interior is totally out of the car and all I have is a myriad of cables. I have cut out many of the unecessary cables and all window, power seat, door lock, hardware and heating A/C is gone. I want to remove EVERYTHING that does not need to be there but this theft system is making my life hard.

ANY guidance would be appreciated. Please Please Please be descriptive as I am totally new to these kinds of cars and electrical is not my strength.

Thanks

Default Re: Help with theft deterant system (Nuvolari)

first-are you replacing the dash cluster with gauges? if not the starter interupt relay which prevents the starter from cranking must be disconnected or by passed. If you're staying with the cluster you might try going to Batee.com for a wiring diagram on the cluster-I have no Idea where the relay is located.
Another suggestion-you might want to contact someone like a cartoys alarm installation technician.

good luck
