VACUM LINE HELP
Please help guys, I decided after 17 years and 76000 miles the 87 could use a tune up. yesterday I started replacing the plugs on the drivers side and when I got to the last cylinders I broke one of the lines leading to the manifold & I don't know where else, this is where the question comes in. This line is rubber from the lt frt bumper vacum ball back to the engine, there it splits one goes to the left with a check valve and hooks to the bottom of the plenum on the passengers side I can't find where the other line is supposed to go. I feel pretty stupid as I"ve been working on cars all my life and many of them being older vettes. PLEASE HELP

From the other side of the check valve by the dist the line goes through the firewall (somewhere!) to supply vac to the A/c controls.I seem to remember it also supplies vac to the cruise control from a "t" piece before the check valve.

YEP..... THAT'S WHAT MINE DOES AS WELL. IT HAS A T AND GOES STRAIGHT DOWN THE FIREWALL ON THE DRIVERS SIDE OF THE DISTRIBUTOR. IT IS A PAIN TO REHOOK UP BECAUSE YOU CAN NOT GET A GOOD HANDLE ON THE LINE TO REHOOK UP THE VACUUM LINE BACK TO IT.... GOOD LUCK!
