Is there any difference between stock LT4 flywheesl and LT1 flywheels?
My guess would be 'no'. These engines are internally ballanced so there shouldn't be a difference, right?
no... a dual mass is a dual mass... they have removable weights that must be replaced to make the balance match the engine.
so, if you have the LT1, and an LT4 flywheel, take out the weights from the LT4 flywheel, then remove the weights from the LT1 flywheel and put them into the LT4 flywheel. matching positions (I think there is a top).
I guess I was wrong. I thought LT1's were internally ballanced. If the weight issue is true, how do so many get away with single mass conversion using stock and Aluminum camaro flywheels? If there was a balance problem you'd have serious issues at high rpm.
