Our stock pushrods are:
7.195" long
5/16" od
When I installed 1.6:1 ProMagnums I used stock length hardened pushords and they were pretty well centered across the valve stem tip. That's with tightening 1/2 turn + 1/8 turn past zero lash.
You could get a length checker pushrod from say Comp Cams, adjust it to center the rocker tip and compare it's length with that of the stock pushrod.
