Default ATI 2.55 & 2.25 pullies

ATI just told me the 2.55" (dp255i-6) and the 2.25" (dp225i-6) both cost $80 each. Is this the only place to purchase these pullies for a P600B? I've seen that several of you have changed your pullies -- did you purchase them from ATI?

If anyone has a 2.55 they want to get rid of, please send me an IM.

Thanks guys!

Well from what i heard running smaller pulley is kind of a waste of time because you are going to get slippage there for running that little bigger pulley will help with slippage and get that extra boost...BUT if you can make that little pulley work then you are set!

As for boost i think it is good for 18psi or something like that? i am not familiar with the p600B's

I've heard that I'll be able to get between 12- 14 with the 2.55 if the belt does not slip. Since we've reworked the rest of the brackets for the PS and AC, we can really tighten the belt. The Zoops correct align bracket has a rod tightener and we removed the tension pulley. You can see the configuration on my web page. As it sits right now, we have little to no slip....

FYI -- The sales department at ATI gave me the part number for the 2.25 pulley.

Stalker,
I answered these same questions in your previous post. I have both the 2.25 and the 2.55. I will say that the 2.55 pulley will produce more boost, as you will not experience the "slippage" that you WILL face with the smaller pulley. There are other companies who will make the pulleys, but the wait is now in excess of 5 weeks. ATI has the 2.55 on the shelf.

As for boost level expected, this is all dependent upon compression, cam, head size, etc. On a 350 ci, HR, super ram motor, the 2.55 produced 13# boost at 6100 RPM. BUT, the cam was large and the heads and intake were very big. The same motor produced 545RWHP at 5800 RPM with a larger pulley at 9 psi.

Thanks Aaron -- I was going with your suggestion from the previous post (getting the 2.55). I was looking around for a 2.55 aluminum pulley to match my other pulleys. The pulleys I found on-line were WAY too expensive. I was hoping there was an alternative someone used before. But since I struck out, I'll order the 2.55 from ATI on Monday.

The tech center was scratching their heads when they reviewed my set-up. And of course suggested I go with a larger blower for my engine.... I just cannot get myself to take the brand new (though two years old) P600B blower off the car at this point. I'll play around next year with the reduced pulley and see how much trouble that can get me in!

Thanks for all your help and advice!!!! :leaving:

The 2.55 pulley just arrived from ATI -- but it is too $%#! cold out too think about swaping it.

Even with the heater in the garage, it is just a little too chilly for me!!!! :(
