Default Front Leaf Spring 87 Z52

I found one that is available at a local junk yard. Its out of a 85-88 vette. Don't know the codes. Its only $100. Would you suggest buying? If so, what do I look for, other than splintering or twists? Is there a way to check the arc?

if it isn't delaminated, then it should be ok. they are not prone to loosing their spring as metal springs are.

C4 springs don't wear out like the steel counterparts. Look for unblemished finish. Damaged areas are the starting point for failure. There are to many used ones available to buy anything less.

Are there any pieces that could deteriorate on the spring that would not be visible from a casual inspection without removing it?
