Do you mean the convertible X-brace? If so, yes, I grafted a stocker from a wrecking yard under my coupe. HUGE diff. in the stability of my frame. The stocker also has plates the bolt through the floor under the seats on each side as well as to the base of the b-pillar.
I put one on my 84 and it is great!!!!!!!!
When I get on it hard, the car dosen't twist anymore. The front lifts evenly and it seems to get better traction now. When I would dump the clutch before the tire would light up, now they seem to grip better.
the car also seems more stable around corners.
I would say its well worth the money and install time.
do you have to drill and tap hole for it or is there a placement for it already??

If you have a late 86 or newer then the front holes already there, you just need to attach the front and line up the rear, drill and mount.
R-D's is much better (stiffer, more solid) then the stock vert brace. I saw at Dave's shop when I was getting the S/T Frame Support from them.
I plan on getting the Cross Frame soon.

Re: Cross Frame (bogus)
Wake did. He seems to love it!
Let's put it this way - it ain't gonna hurt! except... ground clearance is a bit compromised.
I just pulled it off my car today... To move it over to the new one... :D
The only thing about the Cross Frame is that you will need to take your time to get it set up... Since it hugs the bottom of the car there may be some clearancing issues... On mine I had to mess with one of the exhaust bolts and a couple of the rivets on the floor pan where were contacting the brace and causing a buzzing noise in the car... Work them out and you'll be happy with the results...
Dave if you're listening, I'll need more of the inserts to install the brace on my new C4... Are those something I can pick up locally or can I place an order through you for the inserts???
Here is a side veiw picture of my car showing the RD Cross-Frame. I was laying on the ground to expose it as much as possible. So this is the worst case visually you would have. Normally all you would see is the end in front of the rear wheel if you were to walk up on the car. http://web.tampabay.rr.com/eac/vette...frontside2.jpg
That is the only picture I have on my website with the Cross-Frame installed.
