I want to change my springs over, the stockers are too soft for autocrossing.
What spring rates do you recommend for someone swiching to solid bushings? this is for the adjustable extremme spring you make.

It a base suspension car, but I've added Z51 swaybars, HAL adjustable shocks, and 335 tires 12x18 front, 12x17 rear.

Sorry, we do not have an extreme front spring for an 84-87 yet. You may want to call Robin and ask about a high rated Sport Spring though. 800-237-9991

With the shocks turned down, how should the ride be?
So long as it's "tollerable" it should be OK.

Assuming that's 1200lb/in that's twice as stiff as Z07 springs. :eek:

I've got VBP 1200 lb/in adjustable front and 580 lb/in rear; shocks are Bilstein (fixed) 250/100 front, 300/130 rear. Setup works great on the track (according to ProAutosports / NASA driving instructors who are much better than me.) I like the Xtreme adjustable front spring- it's great being able to cornerweight all 4, fix the ride height and alignment with me in the car.
Drives just fine on the street (90% of my driving)- a little harsh on rough stuff; but nothing that precludes a few hours in the seat.
I've got CCW wheels which widened my F and R track approx .8" which reduces the effective wheel rate just a bit. Although I only have 315s up front on 17x11; your wheel centers are probably even farther out with those 12" rims...

The rears are futher out.
The fronts are actually in, that's why I needed to go to an 18in wheel, to clear the arms.
