My clutch has been slipping alot lately and I am not on full power, something to do with the clutch, but is this definately the disc, or could it be the master cylinder? I have already replaced the clutch slave cylinder. Thanks in advance
slippage has nothing to do with the master/slave...
that's an engagement issue.
however, when there IS a slippage issue, it's always with the friction disk. here is a good test. Do this in a parking lot... put the car into 3rd, tach up to about 2500rpm, whilst holding the brakes, release the clutch. if it stalls, the clutch is ok, if it doesn't, then the clutch is toast.
What else can cause this? failed dual mass flywheel... bad rear main seal, too... pucking oil all over the clutch will surely do it.
