It really woke up the ZF6 in my LT4. im very pleased with the results, shifts smoother, goes into 1st very nicely. and off topic i just got her back from the shop (got alighnment done) and it worked out very nicely, the car had some issues :U some wierd toe and caster settings, but they were taken care of along with a new Tie rod and she handles alot better, is very repsonsive and smoooth. When i got home i saw my brand new GS-D3's at my door step, when i get them on soon ill let you all know what i think

Did mine too last weekend... Put 200 miles on the car afterward and it did make it shift easier/smoother...
Not a fair comparison though, I think the otherstuff was the original and 65K miles old...
Yup, that's on my list of things to do too. i bought the oil, but now i just need to find a damn 19mm allen socket to use to get the fill/drain caps out. How much was your Castrol? The stuff from GM was $32 for 3 quarts.
Anyone else had any trouble getting the filler plugs loose? I have had my LT4 since new and have only 30K on it and have never checked the fluid since I cannot see any seepage or leaks.
Batvetteman I do have an idea for you. Stick a bolt into the rounded off allen head plug that is a reasonable tight fit staurated with JB Weld. Let it cure, put a couple of nuts on the bolt, and then use a socket and braker bar to remove the allen head plug. I am sure there are other methods.
Just changed the oil in my tranny with the Castrol TWS synthetic 10W-60. Thought I would do it when I was in changing out the clutch. Tranny shifts great with that stuff, got it at the BMW dealership for $8.06 per liter. I asked for the club discount. I got the 17mm allen socket at AutoZone. The packet I bought included a 17, 14 and 12mm sockets for $7.99.
