Default LTPWS BULB REMOVAL?

How do you remove the bulb? It comes on about 5 miles down the road and it's driving me absolutely crazy! :mad :flag

Remove the center console, remove the DIC piece of the dash, then pull the unit out and then take a pair of pliers and rip the bulb out.

Removed mine two years ago.

Recognize that I'm am not mechanically inclined. Is this a simple project with one or two tools, and can it be done in an afternoon?

It can be done in a couple of hours taking your time. Only about three tools are required.

Open the colsoe lid and undo the back two screws and bolts. Remove ashtray and remove screw/bolt holding the console down there. Auto, pull up and straight back and move the shifter as you pull the console. If a stick, just pull console up and wiggle around shifter. Make sure you unplug the hatch release button and the cigarette lighter.

There will be 3 bolts/screws in the lower part of the DIC console. Undo those, and pull the top AC vent out as well. Center console piece then pulls straight out.

DIC cluster is then visible. One option is just to undo the small screws holding the plasitc cover on. This will allow you to access the bulbs with out removing the whole unit. Pop the bulb and start reassembly.

Until you can get at it, just put a piece of black electricians tape on the DIC over the light.
