need help on opti

Default need help on opti

I was looking for a oil leek and had to pull the water pump and the opti I must have turned the shaft that drives the opti now it will not line up the spline that fits in the opti is off will it hert if I move the shaft by hand to get it to line up I need to turn the opti to get it to line up but I dont know if it will mess it up or not what do you think ?

No, you will not hurt it, once it's lined up it should slip right on. :seeya

haha.

Yes, the back of the earlier opti had the shaft that seperates. Put it in the timing gear first (don't force it.. turn it until it slides in).. and then put the opti on.
