Just got my new Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's. I don't know how they will handle or how long they will last but those lane markers are not near as rough and the ride is quiet...

Re: New Kumho's (autotech)
I have the Ecsta MXs and love the ride and handling with them, too. Just not enough straight ahead bite anymore with the recent mods. Got some drag radials for when I really want to play, though. So far the wear has been good and I'm not always easy on them, I especially enjoy spirited cornering!
I've been running 712's for about 2 years now. I have about 30K miles on them, and they still have lots of tread. I drive them in rain and snow, summer and winter, on the street and on the track. Best $400 I ever spent. Look at my sig for track times on the Kumhos.
I blasted a set of 275s off the back last summer. They were a real decent tire smooth and quiet . Even looked for a 315 kuhmo when I got me rims...dont think they make one :D
I had them on my 91 for a year and about 10k miles and 1 AX. Still have the 2nd rotatation dot visable. Handle good in all weather (I don't know about snow 'cause I don't go near that cold wet white s**t!) Best tire I've had in years.

Re: New Kumho's (subman)
I've had em since Dec 03, and I've been HARD on em. I've only been to the track once, but they've been put through some fat burnouts, and perhaps a thousand miles of hard canyon driving.
They get really noisy when you push em to the limits, the wet traction sucks, they're hard to get smoking, and they don't do good offroad (don't ask me how I know.)
But all around, I've been quite happy with them, especially for $100 each!
For the price they are a good buy. Not a really top notch performance tire, but not a POS either. Nice ride, not harsh or extremely noisy at all. I've enjoyed them since purchase. They slip a bit too much under hard braking though.
I switched from F1's to the Khumo MX's and I don't like them. Terrible handling and traction. But they're cheap, which is what I was after at the time. Will definitely switch back to something better when I can afford it.
