How's it happin'in???
I have had an oil consumtion problem on a new rebuild, except for same pistons, but hoaned and re-ringed. Anyway I decided to pull the intake and then the engine if I did not find any problems on top. Well, my upper plenum has oil all in it. The EGR runner from the intake to the plenum has oil all in it. The intake has oil in it where the runner ties in right up to the EGR, but no further. It is dry on the exhaust side of the EGR. I thought at first the intake was leaking internally, but nope it does not tie in. Maybe the oil is running down the runner from the plenum. So, you would think PCV. Well, on the drivers side it goes into the intake, which in turn comes out and goes up to the upper plenum, but it is bone dry. Ok, so you have the PCV on the passenger side. It runs directly to the throttle body, which ties in and ends up in front of the throttle plates, and dry there as well anyway. I know my problem is here. I just don't see it yet. Your input always appriciated...
