Anyone running 18" wheels on your C4? Got Pictures?
I'd like to get a 5 spoke like the ZR1 A Mold wheels.
What widths are you running? Any problems?
Thanks
See my sig pic. I can get you more pics if you need them. I'm running 18x10 in the front and 18x11 in the rear 275/35/18 front and 295/35/18 rear. Tires are Toyo Proxes T1-S and I've had no problems at all.
Just remember that overall diameter is the real issue. Some people put 18s and still use say a 40 profile ratio when they should be going smaller to retain near-stock diameter. You dont have to though. You could fit 22s under a c4 if they made tires that had 2 inch sidewalls. 18s are a piece of cake. What you should be worried about is offsets. Just make sure you get the correct offsets or the wheels will stick too far in or out and thats jus a bummer.
As far as 18 inch zr1 wheels are concerned... i voiced my opinions to afr and afs wheels and some other companies but they said they didnt want to invest into the tooling to make them. I think 18 " zr1 wheels would sell like hotcakes. Id be the first to buy em.
Thanks everyone! I really like the look of the Custom Simmons and the Y2K"s.
Ron, you have done some great work on that car. Looks sharp.
Joe, I can't really see the detail of the wheels, but they fill out the wheelwells nicely. Good setup in the corner.
DieL, totally agree. Planned on keeping the same OD as stock. Hoping to go to 11 or 12" width in the rear if I can get the offset right.
Does anyone remember the offset for the rear? If I use 11" width, I presume I can use the same offset as on the stock. If I go to 12", what would I need to clear inside?
Johnson, Freakmonkey, and Jay: The Y2K's are nice. What's your favorite source? Cost?
I'd buy AFS in a minute if they were offered in 18". Do you suppose the Forum could do some group persuasion? The 18" look really great on the C4.

Thanks! It's taken forever, but I think it's really coming around now. Here are some close ups of the Simmons.
I am considering sending these wheels back and having the center section polished to match the lip. I haven't quite decided just yet.
I had a VERY positive experience with Group A Wheels, http://www.groupawheels.com. Jeff from the AZ location (480-813-4776) was a real nice guy to deal with and these wheels are very aggressively priced. They're more than AFS, but much less than Fikse or HRE, but without sacrificing the quality.
Jeff will be able to help you with the offsets and will help you stuff the most wheel on the car without rubbing. I've run into no issues with rubbing on mine, but it does sit up a little bit higher than I'd like right now.
Good luck and thanks again for your positive comments.

Re: 18" Wheels on a C4 (tkrussell)
No new pics yet, but I'm running Y2k's 18x10.5 Rears and 17x9.5 fronts
with 315/30/18 and 275/40 17 Michelin Pilots. Looks great.
I think 18's are the perfect size for a C4.
Ive got 18-10 front and rear with custom offset. The tires are 275-35/18 Goodyear F1s. I might go with a 285 or a 40 series to close more of the gap in the fender.I had the wheels made with an extra 1/2 inch of offset built into them,it gives the impression the car is lower than it is.Originally I wanted to run 17-11s with 315s on the back but they wouldnt fit,hit the mufflerCheck the sig.
If you go to my web site, there is a good picture of the car from the side with the street tires on it, and if you go to the "Racing the Z07" page, there are larger images of the sig pictures so you can see them better...
It was humming through that carousel at about 80 MPH...sweet and sticking like glue.

Re: 18" Wheels on a C4 (Joe90)
Here's some pics of my CCW wheels ( 18x12 front / 17x12 rear ) and Hoosier autocross tires ( 335A18 front / 335A17rear ) that I race on.
Why 18 front 17 rear?
You wind up with a longer contract patch in the back which is better for lauching. You need to go to an 18 in the front to get the 12 in wide rims to clear the control arms.
