Would a bad or out of tune IAC cause problems with starting the car after its fully warmed up. When its cold it turns on after the first turn. When its hot I have to give it a little gas and hold the pedal down for a sec so the car doesnt stumble. Sometimes i have to crank it for a couple of minutes to get it started. Its a 1986, 383 stroker tpi corvette.

Offhand, no - IAC controls idle by controlling the flow of air; what you describe is typically fuel - faulty or worn injectors or incorrect injectors for application considering it's a 383.
