Continuous problems with leaky shorty headers

Well.. the header is trashed :(.... turns out there are cracks all the way around there and to weld it like that I would have to have the coating taken off a new flange put on and everything. At $75/hour at this shop... HELL no. Bought the paif for $180 from someone off the forum, so i'm going to see if I can't find another set or one (preferably). I might think about long tubes as well since this one is trashed. The driver's side is fine though... :( :banghead:

... moving them puts them farther from the engine and lets them cool a bit... causing them to not work well.
A good main cat is all any car needs. Look at the Z06s, they have no pre-cats anymore.

Yeah, but the main cats in your are farther back... ours are right next to the engine so they can't cool.

Glock, what brand of header are you using currently?

BTW: A good set of LT headers can be a nice thing to have...

The only BAD thing about LT's is they put a lot of heat in the passenger compartment.
