Someone had posted a part number for the Anti rattle spring and pad shim kit for the C5 calipers. I can't fint the post and I have most of my car back together but my pads didn't come with shims or spring. :mad
Any help is very appreciated. Thanks
When you buy your pads, they should come with a "hardware kit", with 4 small rubber boots as well. If not, that G.M. p/n is 18039816, I paid $16.47 for one, that should be all you need 4 the entire install. Don't know if this is what you're looking for??
You can call Chris May at Superior Chevy (800 728-8267). He should have the hardware kit, the above post is correct except one kit req'd for each wheel.
If not, call your local parts houses and see if you can find "Reybestos" pads, they come with the kit & the rubber boots for the guide pins, you'll eventually need new pads anyway, right?
I got Ceramix pads at NAPA, they did not come with the hardware.
However, you can get the hardware seperatly at NAPA, I beleive they call it a caliper hardware kit. Sorry, I do not have the part number here with me. It comes with all three rattle clips and the two rubber boots. One kit is for one caliper, so get two.
