Default It takes 30 hours....

88 L98 5.7 TPI - It takes about 8 hours to pull the engine, tear it apart and get it to the machine shop. I got mine back 2 days ago. I have about 24 hours in building the engine and installing. This is the second time and it just takes about 30 hours to get it done. TRW flat tops and a mild cam this time. Just right for a blower. (thinking about it) Test drive in the morning. :hurray:

I would have run the numbers, to be sure, but don't flat tops with a 58cc combustion chambers come out a little high for a blower? And that "mild" cam only serves to aggrivate things. Lower duration, equals higher compression pressures. Good luck, and congrads on the 30 hour part.

RACE ON!!!

No, the commpression ratio returns to about 9 1/2:1 because the felpro head gaskets used are a little thicker than stock. There probably is a better suited cam but this one is so mild I dont think it would make muck difference. I used it in case I did or did not decide to install a blower.
