Vibration from driveshaft....Vibration dampner..................
Does every year vett have a vibration dampner on the yoke that connects to the driveshaft. Because I have a shaft from a 93 on my 85 and my original shaft did not have a vibration dampner on the yoke (I dont think it did). Also in my 85 service manual it does'nt mention anything about a dampner.
The reason I ask this is because Im getting a bad vibration and I have checked the u-joints, weights, etc...............everything seems to be fine except for that dampner on the yoke. I put the car on jacks and ran it in drive and got under it to take a look at the shaft while it was spinning and the damper was wabbling big time. Is that normal? I was thinking about just knocking it off and run without it...any suggestion would be great.....

I had a bad vibration on my 93, found out the bolts on the torque Converter to the flywheel were loose. It only happened at certain RPM's but when it happened, the seat of your pants let you know.
Once I tightened the bolts the vibration was gone. Possibility??
