Default How about this Cam ;O)

Whats the specs on a stock L98 cam?????

Is the below cam too much for my car

LPE 74211 hydraulic roller camshaft

For sale one new hydraulic roller for the 86-and later SB Chevy. This camshaft is designed to work in 350-383 cubic inch engines. This cam is built from a hardened steel core, but a unique pressed on cast gear eliminates the need for the bronze distributor gear. The stock lifters will work with this cam, a spring change is required. This will not work with the factory computer settings, a change to the calibration will be required.
This is a special purchase do not miss the chance to get yours at this special price.
Engine Type 86-92 L98
Camshaft 74211
Intake Exhaust
Lobe Lift .333" .350"
Dur @ .050 211 219
Lift 1.5 ratio .499"

No, its just right for the TPI.

It would go better with some bigger runners and a new base, but its made for the TPI setup.

stock one is around 202/206 @050"

IMHO, it actually seems kind of tame. The cam I'm putting in as part of a top end build in the spring is 224/230 on a 112 LSA with 536-544 lift. I think you could go bigger if you wanted (although bigger isn't necessarily better given the particular combination of parts). :)

The LPE 211 might be a bit tame for a heads/cam LT1. But, he is asking about installing it in a stock L98.

I say get the cam, it should work great in your car.
