Default getting a code 21

hey guys i just replaced my alt today and when i whent to start her up she cranked but did not fire. no gas was gettin to the injectors. so i sprayed so strating spray on the intake and it fired up but then stalled out quick. while it was running i saw the check engine light was on so i pulled the code and its a 21. and im lookin at my hynes book and its saying its a throttle position sensor.

forgot to add its a 84

would this make the car not to strart, and what does the sensor do

also if i need to replace it where is it at

thank you for all the help

Default Re: getting a code 21 (Cory00)

no gas was gettin to the injectors...
would this make the car not to strart
They tend to be a little slow to start when they don't get fuel.
i pulled the code and its a 21. and im lookin at my hynes book and its saying its a throttle position sensor....
, and what does the sensor do
It senses the position of the throttle. The Haynes doesn't tell you where it is? Does it tell you how to test it?

Didn't we go through this, "no fuel", situation with you a couple of months ago? It is probably, all caused, by your emaciated battery trying to suck every available electron it can find, from your grossly overloaded charging system.

Check here, for help: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=725520 Good luck, and...

RACE ON!!!
