Default Shudder Effect at Highway speeds

Just picked up a 90 zr1, and need help with an issue. The car drive beautifully until I am at highway speeds. At that point (60-80 Mph) I start to get a shudder effect through my steering wheel. Also the LTPWS light comes on.

But, all the pressure in the tires are correct. The alignment seems fine?
Any thoughts /suggestions?

the tires themselves... the old GS-C's are hard new, they become like pavement after a few years...

or, tire balance.

Congrats on the Z!!!

Check for worn tierod ends, ball joints, or bearing hubs.

Grab wheel at 12 and 6 o'clock position and report movement here.

Grab wheel at 3 and 9 o'clock position and report back here.

Place large lever under tire and attemp to lift vehicle off ground. Should not move.

Tires out of balance or just hard like Bogus said.

Good luck.

Do you think the Low Tire pressure sensors themselves can have anything to do with it?
..although, it has 27k on the car with Gs-cs? Hmmm...

I had a bad shock wich was causing this type of condition. The shuddering was so bad that I thought that the tires had flat-spotted.

Could be many suspension related things. First thing I'd check would be the tires. An out of balance tire could cause the symptoms you describe.

I don't have the low tire pressure sensors, so I don't know, but could an out of balance condition cause one to activate? I would check to see if you have any missing weights. They're usually mounted to the inside of our wheels, so you have to get underneath to check. Good luck.
