Do I have to pull the MOTOR,,,

No sense tearing the motor up twice.
My friend had the LT4 hot cam, with ported and polished stock Lt1 heads, and it was quick and sounded good. It's a hotter cam than the stock Lt4 cam.
-cam
-timing chain
-balancer
-gaskets
I agree that you should also do the heads while "in there"; pocket porting & working your #113 heads should be worth another 25chp. Here I wouuld include:
-ported bowls, smoothed castings, shaped spark plug boss, smoothed chamber
-2.00"/1.56" valves & 3 or 5 angle valve job
-new bronze guides
-7/16" studs, hardened guides & pushrods
-springs to match the cam
-1.5:1 or 1.6:1 ProMagnum RRs
-new gaskets
I think that even with your SD system you can bet by with just an AFPR to add fuel at WOT.
To enhance breathing up top with only a little drop on low end you can try the siamese intake base (a freebee); if you need more spring for the ACCEL base with AS&M LT runners.
Since you can turn a wrench I think you can do the jobs. If you want good advice on pocket porting those heads pick up David Vizard's book(s) on SBCs.
