As far as numbers are concerned everyone has to remember that it's not just the heads, cam and intake that are being changed here. They are also adding a 58mm TB, 30lb. injectors and headers better flowing cats and mufflers, which helps a great deal to increasing performance.
I am still thinking that the conversion is the way to go, based on what I have read.
I also forgot about the fact you could sell your stock heads and intake if you got the LT4 Upgrade kit but take a look at the diference in flow #s between a set of stock LT4 heads and a CNCed set of LT1 heads from TEA. The Flow #s for TEA are from thier web site and the LT4 are from chevy performance
whatever way you go, dont wory about the rockers with the LT4 conversion or Hotcam kit. They both are adjustable, not like the origional factory LT4 cars had.

This is really good comparison info. Do they have specs. on what ported LT4 heads flow like?
One other thing, how much can selling the other parts earn, in regards to offsetting the cost of the conversion?
I am happy with mine.. I just finished it.. I obtained all my parts used w/22K miles on them with the exception of the Hot Cam I bought new. and the 52mm Throttle body. Mine is an Auto and it idles really nice meaning slightly rough and the exhaust tone has changed a bit..
