Guildstrand GS80 Corvette...Looking for some performance information about them
As stated in the title, I would like to find out some of the specifics of these cars, such as the motor modifications, suspension changes, and any other items that Guildstrand made to these cars. Performance results and pictures would be great too!

I received the April issue of Corvette Fever in the mail today. It has an article about a 1988 GS-80. The engine is a Traco-built 383 with 372hp and 430 lb-ft of torque. The article also lists the numerous suspension and brake upgrades.

Talk about ironic.
I got the mail in and there inside the April issue of Corvette Fever was an article about Dick Guildstrand and his 1988 GS80. Those Traco built motors are awesome. Jim Jones who built a ton of the motors at Traco now works for Callaway.
I know that there were several variations of the GS80 and they were not all like the one in the magazine.
Yo, Bogus Thanks for the archive link. Good Stuff !

I have an old Vette magazine from the 80's somewhere...had the entire article on the GS80.Was a fast car for its time and I think it went 175 mph or so.They had pics of the stock TPI runners siamesed and welded up to enhance airflow. They did everything they could it seems,to squeeze out all the power from their engines.I dont think the Super Ram was even invented yet or in the market, just for comparison.Would love to have an original one with all the mods.
:)
