Flywheel marks????
'92 LT1 clutch replacement.Removed old clutch,No matchmarks no black or yellow dots on flywheel,just a lotta rust.How do you you line everything up so as to be balanced.I would hate to pull it out again. :mad

Don't worry abou the yellow dots as you are replacing the clutch assembly anyway. The big thing seems to be the flywheel; it is how GM balances the motor. If you don't replace the flywheel, no problem. BTW, you can check the dual mass flywheel by measuring the distance you can move the two masses. If you can move the clutch side of the flywheel more than 1.378" along the perimeter you should replace it. It's in the Helm's manual.
