Torque Converter Selection - Need Advice
I am going tomorrow to pick up my race tranny from Mad Dog Louie. Right now, my car is blown (ATI Procharger) with the stock cam. Maybe one day, I'll change the cam, but not soon. Anyway, I know that cam and torque converter need to be closely matched. Louie is recommending a 2200 stall converter, and I requested a locking TC. Is that a good choice? Not sure of the brand. Sounds like he would give me whatever I want. He says the stocker is 1800. Says 2200 will not be too radical and because of the quality of the unit will run as cool as a stock 1800.
