Looking for a stock LT4 bin file. I found a converted LT4 OBD1 file in the
archives but it won't download anymore. Anyone have one, in .bin or .lt1 format (either is OK)? TIA. Email:
I have it too... man, i wish it was that easy when i needed it . I had to do it myself. You probably got the one i made, haha. I should have added a watermark to it to keep track
hey guys..have any of you done the OBD2 to OBD1 conversion? I am in the process of figuring it out and could really use soem help.. what i have is a 96 LT4.. and the ECM in it..also have a 95 M6 PCM here for the conversion to OBD1.. i read about impala swaps and they say knocks sensor pinout change which i understand and tach signal which is fuzzy..are both these things what needs to be changed on the Y-body? also what else if anything needs to be done and what to expect afterwards.. can it be scanned tuned normally? thanks in advance!
I'm running the OBDI in mine. You have to change the resistance level of the knock sensors (i forget the amount). After that, it's just the same. You can use all your OBDI stuff just like normal. I tune my LT4 just like i did my '94 .
i found tables that are relevant to fueling which are not available in lt1_edit, so you can't really do a 100% conversion. the difference was large enough that swapping ecms from obd-2 to obd-1 with everything converted that was available to me ended up with different fuel trims, sometimes as much as 10%.
needs to be Vette or F-body. And don't use an f-body based program or your Auto A/C won't work. I forget the model numbers on the computers but can go look if you need it.

The F-body (and I believe Caprice) PCM is 16188051, the Y-body is 16181333.

What's this about the A/C and the F-body PCM? I'm using the F-body PCM for a '95 LT1 installed in a '76 Vette (C3) and am about to button up the A/C...should I be concerned about anything? It's mighty hot here in FL!
Thanks for the info gents. In addition to the auto ac, I was wondering about the other guages working with the OBD-1 PCM, like the fuel monitoring system in the '96.
What base program is recommended?
