How low is too low??

How low is too low??
I finished putting my rear drop kit in. It's supposed to be good for an inch. Well, I just did some measurements after it settled a bit, and it seems that I've gone from (Space between the tire and the fender lip) 3 1/8" down to 1 3/4"... I've got about 3/4" of the bolt showing from underneath the car, so I could always crank it up a little bit, but, is that too low for this kit???

I think you could go another 1/2" or so with no problems. If don't recall any warnings about that with my kit.

if ur havin a VERY VERY hard time wit speedbumps or getting in ur driveway then maybe its a lil low, but technically its never to low until u bottom out on a stick or somthin, the lower the better buuuut then again u dont wanna mess up ur shocks or struts! and potholes will kill u!

with 3/4" of an inch left on the bolt. i wouldn't worry. if you have questions about it, maybe get another nut, and a lock washer, and put the washer inbetween them, and crank that second nut on there real tight. just an idea.

heh, i wonder if anyone really gets the question of this... maybe im the one that doesnt :crazy:

My car is lowered with coilovers, that's how I got it so low. But before I had the coilovers I lowered it even lower with 12" bolts in the back and no wedges at all in the front. The pictures in my signature is lowered with the method mentioned above.

I've seen your Vette featured somewere. I can't remember where. You said you smoked a guy in a Ferrarri. Then the guy said something like "If I knew a Corvette could do that, I would have saved my money and got one of those." You got a wicked Vette there. Very nice :thumbs: :auto:

I heard that you should have the rear 1/2-3/4" higher then the front so you don't get front end lift at highway speeds.
