Default Launch Control for 4+3 or M6

To improve launch consistency, it is easiest to launch at idle. However many vehicles will bog with an idle launch.

By exploiting the IAC control and A/C idle add function, you can add add much as 1000 rpm to your idle speed to achieve optimum launch rpm by simply turning on the A/C when its time to launch.

For this to work, some chip tuning, throttle stop and tps adjustment is necessary to maximize the potential rpm increase and maintain a decent normal idle. My normal idle is 900 rpm, and I add an additional 900 rpm with the A/C add function (available in tunercat and other editors).

Note:
When the A/C compressor is connected, the idle rpm only increases by about 300 which is still practical for normal driving. With the compressor disconnected, a properly adjusted IAC should be able to flow enough air to support a 1000 rpm increase.

At the strip, disconnect the A/C compressor. As you get ready to stage, hit the A/C button, your idle will increase to the predetermined launch rpm (1800 or so) and you can forget about watching the tach and focus on the tree. Smoothly and quickly let the clutch out and add throttle. It couldn't be simpler.
