Torque converter to flywheel bolt torque spec question ?
The factory service manual says torque bolts to 45lbs. ft. on flywheel and converter cover bolts to 89lbs. ft. Is that right ? it seems backwards, Does any one know.

They BOTH need to be done to the right specs. That sounds right to me.
The converter only has three bolts and there is some VERY serious power going through them. I would NOT just snug them up. I would use loctite.
There are also more bolts on the flexplate, then the converter. Hence the reason why the specs probably seem backwards. Not to mention the size difference.
