I ran my 86 auto on the dyno yesterday and I'm not sure how to interpret the results. Max HP was 207.8 and Max torque was 303.9. The Air fuel ratio dropped from mid 14s down to low 12s at ~ 3500 rpm. First question is what should the car be putting out for a stocker with original cats? Second, Shouldn't the A/F ratio be 14.7 for the whole power band?
The car runs good as a daily driver and doesn't burn oil @103,000 miles. If the results I got are near normal, I'm OK but if something is wrong , I want to fix it.
BTW, I had the injectors serviced and the Fuel pressure is 38 to 40 psig.
Thanks for your input!!!
Mine only pulled a 235rwhp/365rwtq the first time I ran it on a dyno, and I had a whole load of bolt-ons at that point, so I think your numbers are pretty good. Especially considering it's an auto.
