Won't Idle When Cold
My 90 L98 has developed a problem with staying started when cold. To keep it running I have to keep a slight pressure on the gas peddle until the car gets to its normal operating temperature. I am getting ready to install some performance upgrades and really want to get the car in top shape prior to the installation. Any help would be appreciated.

I assume you have checked the obvious: Loose vac line, fuel pump pressures, and loose elect connectors, etc. Your car has the Multec injectors and they have a histors of failure (shorted coils). You can check the injectors by removing the electrical connections and measure resistance of their coils. Each injector should be about 16 ohms. If you find one or two in the 10 to 12 range, you may have found your problem! Your symptoms suggest this problem since your engine appears to run better in closed loop operation. How do I know about this problem....been there!!!
