intercooled blower system for LT4
hello everyone, i totally understand the physics of blower systems... just not so well on an LT4 application... my questions are: do i have to lower my compression (10.8:1) or is there a system that will work? second is.. what is the most common product used and do they come with an intercooler? im sorry for the vauge questions im just trying to get an idea of what im looking at... im very interested in a Blower. Also are most blowers for C4's "bolt on" or is there alot of fabrication needed

with your compression 6psi MAX, and ATI makes a bolt on kit w/ no fabrication. If you ever lower your compression ratio and go with any more boost, you will have belt slip which is expensive to fix/fab.
You're better off going the cheap route with nitrous if you're looking for 100HP. The blower is awefully expensive for what it gives you.

If you go over 6 psi make sure you use an intercooler or water injection to prevent detonation. If you end up popping a piston, rebuild motor with lower compression forged pistons, blower cam, head work and more boost for even more hp and fun. :thumbs:
