resonation.....
It definitely resonates in the cab at certain frequencies/gears - lpretty loud
at times, but good tone.... Lots of whines of different types at different frewuencies too - wonder if it is the 6 speed or just tires....it was when I was verying speeds to check noises I heard the click / felt the U joint through the shifter.

I guess you did an exhaust upgrade?
You should only hear a whine from the transmission in first or 2nd gears. Third, MAYBE.
What brand of tires do you have on the car currently? How many miles? Air pressure?
You felt the ujoint through the shifter? Thats a pretty bad ujoint. It's not a real hard job... I did it myself a couple of weeks ago (with the assistance of great friend and fellow forum member, C5GalaxyEng!).

this was meant to be in the thread about finding stuff on my new car......oops!
I was talking about B&B 3" stainlees exhaust with stainless headers being loud in the car....
do get some gear whine.......lot of it is tires
