Alright, this is a '93. Every now and then I get the Security lock-out(won't crank) for 3 minutes and it usually starts after waiting. I bypassed the key/ignition with the proper resistor, same stuff happened. Now I have another problem with the same system. I get a SYS/Security light that flashes every now and then. Today, it happened whenever I turned the key to try and start it. The engine would turn over, but it would not fire. I did not smell any fuel. It eventually started after trying a few times over a 15 minute period.
I need to know all the factors the CCM takes into consideration to let the car start or not. If it is just the key, then I guess I have a bad module. What do you guys think?
That does sound great, with one issue. I have a chip from PCMforless. I don't suppose there is just a wire I could clip :) Must be one the circuit board. I am getting a cable next week which I should be able to download my programming. Could you make a copy with this and add the no VATS module issue. I don't think that would cross the line on the chip.
