I asked before about best plugs and got a ton of info. THANKS. Now which is the best plug wires. Saw threads on MSD and Taylor. List your opinions. Thanks, John
I am not a big fan of TPIS but I have been running a set of wires for 12 years. They look and feel like the day they were installed. No header melt on wires or boots. They look stock (gray) and fit the retainers perfectly! I just bought a new set because It feels like I should. They are lifetime warrantee but look too good to sent back. Just my $.02 :chevy
I'm satisfied with my Taylor Spiro-Pro 8mm plug wires, and with a little dremmeling they can be used with the stock wire looms
Taylor Spiro-Pro 8mm plug wires is the only one that I am using and I am happy with them and have no desire to change for other one yet. Maybe someday I will try other brand
I have used the Taylors on my LT1 Z28 and LT1 Caprice. They work very well, I'm very satisfied and they also cost less than a number of 'performance' wires. The Z28 set has many track & autocross miles on them. I have Accel 9000's on the C4. I think thats the ones. The Accel's w/ the silver coating on the boots. Anyway, those were a pain in the butt. On the straight boot plugs, the boot would slide down the wire instead of snapping onto the plug during install. I think it was plugs #6,8. And if you've done your wires you'll agree those are b!@#$ of plugs.
yeah, Taylors!
Another vote for Taylor Spiro-Pro 8mm  I also bought a set of clamp style looms, the setup looks great and they drop down real nice in between my Hooker header primaries, no problems at all with heat, melting, etc.
Has anyone tried the Taylor Thundervolt 50 10.44mm wires? They sound like a good choice, but my concern is the area on the driver side where the wires have to go through the space between the engine and the power steering pipe. I know it was tight enough with 4 7mm wires, will the 4 10.44mm ones fit through that space?
Another vote for Taylor 8mm here. I did not have to modify the stock looms, just pushed and they fit (a bit tight). I'm of the opinion there is nothing to be gained by plug wires as long as they are decent quality, so it boils down to cost and ease of install.
Weird, but I just noticed these are not listed through ZIP, but Speed Demon Motorsports. I've got a gift certificate burning a hole through my pocket, and was hoping ZIP would sell them?? Thanks!
