Vented the Opti today.
The toughest part was getting the plastic "Y" sealed up to the plastic Opti cap, the 10$ soldering iron I bought got a workout. I wanted to make sure it was sealed, so holding my finger over the end of the "Y" I would fill the cap up with water, finally after about 6 tries I got it to hold water, no drips :hurray: .
This Opti has about 9k miles on it and the seal was already cracked at the bottom :banghead: , so I replaced them with (sensor safe) RTV.
Here are a couple of pictures of the finished product. http://www.digitalcorvettes.com/phot...optivent01.JPG

I also got some other stuff done to, oil pan, timing cover, chain and gears, all of the exhaust system and the starter removed.
Oh yea, :eek:Surprise # 1 it seems as though I have a bad valve stem seal on # 1 exhaust, I noticed the port was all oily after I removed the manifold. All the rest of the ports are dry.
Replacing it should be no problem as I got pretty good at it when the LT4 springs went on.
