Default Quality Head to Header studs

I am looking for some high quality stud fasteners for my aluminum AFR heads. I don't like the factory solution of bolting headers to aluminum heads.
Can anyone recommend a source? L98 TIA

Keep in mind you can't install the heads with the rear studs in place. You'll either have to put the heads on then put the studs in or just use some bolts in the rear.

Well, you can go the typical grade 8 bolts with locking nuts

or you can just use normal bolt (i have a set i'm not using i beleive, IM me) and use some good gaskets. Most guys run the Felpros and just tighten till there is no tomorrow.

hreaded fasteners such as nuts & bolts can loosen when subjected to heat or vibration. To prevent this, bolts must be regularly retightened. Besides being unnecessarily time consuming, it can be damaging because it can lead to over-torquing. For this reason, Stage 8 locking fasteners has created a simple system that uses patented Groovelock Technology for keeping nuts & bolts tight without over-torquing.

Yeah, but those aren't "lock washers" in fact I have the stage eights to install my EM headers. Tell ya what, you just keep on using lock washers on your headers :lolg:

Those don't fit on C4 headers last I knew.

Mine are the stock "shorty headers".

In that case, I would suggest using the factory bolts, afterall, they have served me well for 140K miles on aluminum heads.

Save the $ or spend it elsewhere?
