It really isn't that bad! I replaced my carpet and seats in my 1990 a couple years ago. Just make sure you buy it precut for your year vette. It will need a little trimming in areas but overall not a tough job. Just make sure you buy a good heat resistant/retardant padding when you decide to do the job! They sell it pretty cheap in JC Whitney. Also buy a good spray glue, I used 3M carpet glue from home depot. Also if you want to spend a little more money you can put a layer of sound obsorbing material down under the padding. :cheers:

I took my time and cleaned all trim pieces as I took them off. Took me about 1 1/2 days to complete. I bought the mass backed carpet that was pre-cut to fit and needed very little trimming...

thanks alot guys. this really helps me out. i got my first vette a few weeks ago. :hurray: its been a driver :cry i'm hoping to fix that :cheers: i did buy replacement carpets for it. the old ones are all faded. i also got a cargo shade for the rear. well it will take some time and effort, but it will be worth it in the end. :steering:
