96 Roadmaster LT1, need some info on this engine.

I have a chance to buy a 96 Buick Roadmaster Limited with the 5.7L LT1 and auto tranny. It has minor front-end damage from a wreck. I am interested in using the engine and tranny in a transplant. I just need to find out a little more about this particular LT1. I posted in the F-body forum, but there's not much activity there.
The engine appears identical to the one in the Impala SS. Is this the same as a f-body LT1 with the exception of the air intake, or are there other differences? Anybody know of anything that is undesirable about this engine or is it the same as the Camaro and firebird ones?
What kind of value does this engine and tranny combo have. I am trying to get a feel for what a good deal for the car would be.
I did check to make sure the 8th vin digit was a P.
Thanks for any info you can give me.
Heres a site that may help you or give you more info.

Sorry I cant answer your questions further.
:)

According to that it is has cast heads and 2 bolt mains.
Anybody take a guess as to a price for this set-up?
edit: It's the same basic engine as the aluminum headed LT1, the only difference is:
Cam
Valve springs
actual head casting (same basic shape, the intake runners are SLIGHTY better than the aluminum heads because they came later).
That's it. With new cam/springs (ZZ4 or CC304 are a good ones for an auto trans) and headers you'll make over 300HP and 380 ft*lbs.
As for price...I'd guess less than $1,000 for the engine, less than $1,500 with the trans. Be sure to get the PCM too, you can get aftermarket wiring harnesses from someone like Howell.
