Are all the information panel lights separate bulbs? How hard are they to change? My ASR system is working fine, but the ASR OFF light doesn't work. I'm hoping it's just a burned out bulb, and that the bulb is available locally. Anybody done this?
Re: Information panel lights burned out (Flareside)
Yes, they are separate bulbs. The bulb for ASR OFF is a 74-1 according to the service manual. Mines burned out too but I haven't worked up the motivation/enthusiasm for replacing it yet, looks like a PITA job so I just leave the ASR active. It makes up for my lack of driving skills....
BTW, all the bulbs in the DIC ('92 Vette) are 74-1 except for the Service LTPWS and Low Tire Pressure ; they are 194-1 according to the service manual.
Re: Information panel lights burned out (Flareside)
Oly is correct in stating that the bulb is a # 74. The -1 is the number of bulbs required to fill that space. Just go to your local NAPA and tell them you need a #74 bulb, you'll get 2 in a pack for less than 2.00 bucks. Pick up a 6 pack of cold ones on the way home and you'll have it changed before the last beer is gone!! Later, Zane
