connecting scanner cable

Hello All,
I have a silly question... I am trying to use the DataMaster software and cant seem to link up with ECM.. I get a error that says adapter OK no PCM connection...Well, I have tried every combination on the obd1 port and nothing... Can someone please tell me what pins are used? ie.... pins A,B & E....

You'll need a 10Kohm resistor between pins A&B. Red wire goes to A, black to B. Data comes from pin E.

pin "E" ??

i always thougth pin "m"

I believe a 90 is pin "M" because it is MAP
My 88 doesnt have a pin "M" because it's MAF

Gonna try again today... Will let you know...
I checked the cable I have and there is a 10k resistor between A & B, so hopefully it will work.. I think I had the A and B switched around the first time..

well, turns out all the problem trying to scan the computer is because the custom chip I had burnt wont scan... I am having another chip made and will try again this weekend...
